Gathering and Gardening
For more than 100 years the Lakeshore Garden Club has been coming together to share our love of gardening and bring the beauty of nature to our community at the north end of Lake Washington.
Meetings
Between September and April the Lakeshore Garden Club meets at 10:00AM on the second Tuesday of each month at the Lake Forest Park Presbyterian Church or at various nurseries and gardens in the greater Seattle area. Monthly programs include specialist lectures and demonstrations on various gardening topics. Our yearly calendar culminates in spring with ourĀ Annual Plant SaleĀ and Field Trip. The club adjourns in the summer while members are busy working in their home gardens.
Mission
to make a study of the propagation and culture of flowers
to develop home gardens
to aid in the protection of native trees, flowers, and birds
to foster a spirit of reverence and love of the beauty in nature
to encourage the members and residents of this community to beautify their homes, parking strips, and roads with flowers and shrubs
to create and promote good fellowship among the members of the club
Plant Sale
Our annual fundraising plant sale is held on the last Saturday in April. Members begin potting up divisions from our gardens in February. Through our plant sale, we are able to sell plants to the community at great prices and at the same time raise funds for our community projects, donations, and scholarship.
This year's sale will be April 26, 2025.
